SUMMARY:Basic Surgical Skills Course
DESCRIPTION:The Royal College of Surgeons Affiliated Basic Surgical Skills Course is a two-day programme designed to develop the fundamental practical skills required for safe surgical practice. Widely recognised as the cornerstone course for aspiring surgeons\, it provides expert-led\, hands-on training in essential techniques including knot tying\, suturing\, tissue handling\, and the safe use of surgical instruments. \nThroughout the two days\, participants will take part in a series of practical workshops\, gaining valuable experience and confidence in a supportive learning environment. This highly interactive course offers the opportunity to develop core surgical skills under the guidance of experienced faculty\, helping to build a strong foundation for future surgical training.

DESCRIPTION:Understand the legal and professional responsibilities Address the benefits and disadvantages of IV Therapy; Be able to recognise and act upon Anaphylaxis; To identify Drug Calculations requirements; Practical session with a manikin\, becoming familiar with the equipment within the Trust and gaining confidence.
