IV Skills

Understand the legal and professional responsibilities Address the benefits and disadvantages of IV Therapy; Be able to recognise and act upon Anaphylaxis; To identify Drug Calculations requirements; Practical session with a manikin, becoming familiar with the equipment within the Trust and gaining confidence. Upon completion of this course, you will gain the Intravenous Drug Administration Theory competency.

This course is mandatory and aimed at Nurses, Midwives and Allied health practitioners who require the theory and skills to administer Intravenous Drug Therapies new to the Trust
